Dealing with blisters
One of the questions that colleagues regularly ask me is … how do I manage blisters?
It is a subject upon which universal guidance has been hard to reach. Blisters can be associated with burns, infection, inflammatory conditions, trauma, surgery, adhesives and allergies … you can probably think of other pathologies too.
Karen Ousey and her colleagues have given us a real head start with this latest consensus document published by Wounds International – entitled “Understanding blistering: causes, treatment and prevention.”
Thank you Karen and your team for these insights and advisories for clinical practice.
